Cooking with Love!

Out of isolation!

Tuesday the 17th March was a very sad day for us at Waste2Taste.
When we should have been celebrating 3 Years in business, we were in fact closing the café. All external catering jobs were cancelled and our workshops for homeless and vulnerably housed adults had to be put on hold, to protect ourselves, our staff, volunteers and our beloved friends and customers.

Waste2Taste is now slowly and safely coming out of isolation!

We have spent the past 3 weeks feeling sadness and worry, Watching the national and International news going from bad to worse. We have of course had some beautiful moments, it has given us time to stop and think, spend time with our families, eating, drinking, cooking and enjoying the wonderful walks in our beautiful Oxford.

SO WHAT NOW?
Fortunately, we are both healthy, in good shape and eager to shake off our negatives and put our skills to best use. We are Community focused, so let’s do just that!

FROM TUESDAY 7TH OF APRIL we are putting our aprons back on and cooking again. The two of us will be safely cocooned in our kitchen at Ark-T where we will be cooking a free vegetarian boxed meal for homeless, isolated, vulnerable or low-income members of our community. We are joining forces with ARK-T, Oxford Together and Flo’s the place in the Park.

FOOD WILL BE AVAILABLE through The Cowley Community Larder
operating @ The Venue 242B Barns Road OX4 3RQ.

Tuesday 11am to 2pm and Thursdays 11am to 2pm

We are in this together till the End

Our dear friends @ Oxford Food Bank sadly closed their base on Friday 27th March. We wish them our love and look forward to seeing them again soon.

Our surplus during this difficult period will come from our great friends at Bucksum Farm and Oxford City Farm. SOFEA have also kindly offered to supply us with fresh surplus food.

Quality, Healthy, Amazing food!
